A dinner, a few speeches, and eventually the question of who's coming on to the bar. Most team events follow the same script, and by Monday hardly anyone remembers the details.
Tufting works differently. Everyone has a power tool in their hands, tries something new, and goes home with a rug they made themselves.
Why tufting works for teams
- Everyone starts equal: nobody needs experience. The intern can turn out to be better at it than the CEO.
- People actually talk: with busy hands, conversation comes easily. Nobody has to perform.
- Something stays: everyone ends up with their own piece, or you make one big piece together for the office.
Two ways to do it
At our studio in Prenzlauer Berg
Up to 16 people. Everyone tufts their own rug: Mini (25 × 25 cm, 99 € per person), OG (40 × 30 cm) or Big One (50 × 50 cm, 200 € per person). Your designs are already drawn on when you arrive, and snacks and drinks are included. We glue, back and trim the rugs for you afterwards.
As a pop-up at your place
For bigger groups, or if you'd rather stay at the office or event venue: we bring the guns, frames and yarn. Guests get a quick introduction and add a few lines to a shared piece, your logo for example. All we need from the venue is a sturdy table and a power supply. Pricing depends on size, requirements and hours.
What an afternoon looks like
- Arrive: get a drink. Your designs are already on the frames.
- Introduction: safety, technique and your first trial lines.
- Tuft: the biggest part of the day, and often the part that surprises people most.
- Wrap up: a group photo, then maybe pizza in the Winsviertel, just a few steps away.
