How it goes
-

Step 1
Shape your idea

-

Step 2
Start sculpting
Get in the zone as you carve your ring from a wax block using files, a saw and engraving tools.
-

Step 3
After the workshop
We weigh your wax model, then Alexandre sends it to a professional goldsmith to be cast in sterling silver 925.
-

Step 4
Final touches
Alexandre hand finishes and polishes your ring. Collect it at Tuft Tuft about 3 weeks after the workshop.

Jeweller · Atelier NINE25
Alexandre has run Atelier NINE25 workshops since 2024. A product designer at heart, he began making silver jewellery to wear himself. After commissions for engagement and wedding rings, he wanted to share the adventure of ring-making with others. He calls wax carving deeply satisfying, almost meditative.

Frequently Asked Questions-
No. Alexandre guides you through every step.
-
You carve your ring from a block of jeweller’s wax 1 cm wide. Your ring can use up to 18 g of silver, which is included in the price.
If you’d like a larger piece, proportional fees apply. We weigh your wax model during the workshop to calculate the casting weight.
-
Individual Spots: Each booking is designated for one person to create their own ring.
It’s possible to book for a private group of up to eight people. Please contact us to arrange.
-
Pick it up at Tuft Tuft about three weeks after the workshop. A professional goldsmith casts it, which can take up to 10 days, and Alexandre then hand finishes and polishes each piece.

Alexandre Nicolet of Atelier NINE25. Tuft Tuft hosts it at our studio, Marienburger Str. 21, 10405 Berlin.
-
Wear comfortable clothes that aren’t delicate, because wax filings make things dusty. No bell or wide sleeves, and nothing with fringes or tassels.
-
Yes, gladly. Tuft Tuft Vouchers are eligible for all workshops on our site.
-
Yes, with care. You use some sharp tools (engraving tools, scalpel, saw blades), and Alexandre shows you how to handle each one. Don’t press hard, and move the saw blade vertically. Hot wax soldering pens and lighters may be used for texturing.
