Top tips for a great rug
LINES AND SHAPES
Tufting works well with large bold shapes and thick lines ✅
Keep shapes simple ✅
Avoid thin and wavy lines, sharp shapes and too many boundaries 🚫
ColourS
Choose large colour blocks ✅
Shading and colour blurs don’t work 🚫
Typography
Use bold thick fonts, shorter words and sans serif fonts ✅
Avoid hand lettering, serif fonts and thin outlines 🚫
Small type will not read well when tufted 🚫
