A birthday idea for Berlin: tufting instead of another dinner

Auf Deutsch lesen: Geburtstag feiern in Berlin: Tufting statt Restaurant

Two friends hold up their fluffy rugs in a pink studio space

Two friends, two rugs, one very good afternoon.

Another long table at a restaurant? This year, you could celebrate with a tufting gun in your hand instead. Everyone makes their own rug, and everyone goes home with something they'll actually keep.

How your party works

  1. Send your designs: you send us your ideas in advance. We check them and transfer them to the frames.
  2. Arrive: the studio is ready, with snacks and drinks.
  3. Learn and tuft: after a short introduction and a few trial lines, off you go. We're there to help whenever you need us.
  4. Keep celebrating: bars and restaurants in the Winsviertel are just a few steps away.

How many people can come?

Up to 16 people can celebrate at our studio in Prenzlauer Berg, each tufting their own rug. For bigger parties, we come to you with a pop-up station: guests take turns adding to one shared piece, which the birthday person gets to keep.

Which size fits?

  • Mini (25 × 25 cm): 99 € per person, quick and easy
  • OG (40 × 30 cm): 140 € per person, our most popular size
  • Big One (50 × 50 cm): 200 € per person, for big ideas

Designs that go down well at any party

A blue rug of a face with the word Cool across it

An inside joke, turned into a rug.

A brightly coloured cat rug

The birthday person's pet always works.

A rug with the words Mi Amor on a checkered floor

Or a favourite phrase in big letters.

You'll find more ideas in our design tips.

What age is it for?

Our workshops are for ages 13 and up. Children aged 9 to 12 can join with an adult, by arrangement. Just ask us.

Plan your birthday party here. Or give the experience as a gift with a voucher.
